To qualify for the Freshman Advantage program, please complete the following steps to become an IVC student by the respective program deadlines:
STEP 1: Apply to IVC
If you are 18 years or older or a high school graduate, have never attended IVC, or have been away from IVC for one semester, you must complete an admissions application online at Admissions and Records.
For Freshman Advantage: select the Fall 2019 term in your application, select an Entry Level as a “first-time college student (after high school),” and enter your full Graduation Date in 2018 (mm/dd/yyyy). Future correspondence from IVC will be sent to the email address you provided in your IVC admissions application.
STEP 2: Complete Math and English/ESL Placement
STEP 3: Submit High School Transcripts
High School transcript is an essential component for proper placement in courses and is highly encouraged. Students who completed high school 10 or more years ago, or students who are unable to access their high school transcript, can complete the math and English surveys for placement into transfer level math and English courses.

STEP 5: Create Your First Semester Plan
