Getting Started

Apply to Irvine Valley College

Apply for admission online (unless you are currently enrolled):

  • Summer & Fall Applications accepted beginning February 1.
  • Spring Applications accepted beginning August 1

CCC Apply

During the admissions application you will create a “MySite” pin number. Please write your pin number down and keep it in a safe place. You will need it to log onto your MySite Portal.

What should I expect after submitting my IVC Application?

Within approximately 1 business day, you will receive an email with your IVC Student ID number. Use your IVC Student ID number and pin number to log onto your MySite Portal.

New Student Preparation

STEP 1: After you receive your IVC Student ID number, familiarize yourself with the IVC MySite Portal.

Watch the tutorial "How to navigate MySite video" to familarize your self with the MySite Portal.

STEP 2: Activate your IVC Email and update your password.

On MySite, click the “Profile” icon in the top right of the page. Your IVC Email Address is listed here. MySite Login ScreenMySite Profile

  • Your default email password is your pin number plus two zeros at the end. Example: If your pin number is 1234, your password will be 123400. For security purposes, it is highly recommended that you change your password. You can do this by clicking the “Change Pin/Password” link
  • Be sure to check your IVC email account daily! This is how we will communicate with you.

STEP 3: Identify which IVC course(s) you want to take and determine if they require corequisites and/or prerequisites.

Available courses are listed on the IVC Class Schedule

  • If you are participating in the CCAP Program, please speak to your high school counselor regarding available CCAP courses.

Corequisites and prerequisites are listed under the course titles.

  • If you plan to enroll in a course that requires a prerequisite, you must demonstrate satisfactory completion of the prerequisite or take the appropriate assessment.
