Fast Friday

Complete 'Steps 4-6' all in ONE day!

Attend one Fast Friday to complete Steps 4-6 in the Steps to Become an IVC Student. Fast Friday participants will complete Advisement, Orientation, develop a First Semester Plan, tour the campus, and have the opportunity to interact with current IVC students, faculty, and staff. Breakfast and lunch will be served!

Fast Friday is from 9 am – 2:30 pm (required to attend the entire time). Please arrive 15 minutes prior to start of the event.

Completing ALL the Steps to Become an IVC Student are required prior to registering for courses. To assist you in completing your steps efficiently, attend one of the Fast Friday. In ONE Friday, you can complete Steps 4-6 (advisement, first semester plan, and orientation). Here is what you can expect from this one day:

  • Group Advisement
  • First Semester Plan
  • Parent Orientation
  • Lunch
  • Group Orientation
  • Campus Tour

Fast Friday Dates

Fast Friday is only for students who have NOT completed their advisement or orientation. Students are required to participate in the ENTIRE day.

Fast Friday will be offered on the following dates:
April 1, 2022 9 am - 2:30 pm
April 8, 2022 9 am - 2:30 pm
April 15, 2022 9 am - 2:30 pm
April 22, 2022 9 am - 2:30 pm
April 29, 2022 9 am - 2:30 pm
May 6, 2022 9 am - 2:30 pm

To participate in Fast Friday:

  1. Apply to IVC for Fall 2022
  2. Reserve your Fast Friday spot.
  3. Bring a picture ID to participate.


Students that sign up for Fast Friday are required to participate in the ENTIRE day. If you're unable to attend the entire time on any of the Fast Friday dates, please visit the Steps to Become an IVC Student to view alternative ways to complete placement and advisement.

TO QUALIFY FOR FRESHMAN ADVANTAGE early registration time, you must complete all the Steps to Become an IVC Student (including placement, advisement, orientation and a first semester plan) by Tuesday, May 10, 2022.

Fast Friday is one way to complete advisement and orientation. Advisement and orientations are also offered throughout the week on the IVC campus, online, and on-site at designated local high schools.
