Admissions and Records staff are here to provide the support and information you need to make informed decisions about processes within the Enrollment Services Office.

We’re happy to announce that we are now offering virtual communication. Virtual communication services allow students to experience a face to face session in an online environment utilizing Cranium Café.

Enrollment — Application

I am experiencing the following:

  • Completed the admission application but did not receive my IVC student ID number
  • Attended a previous term but am not able to register now
  • Registration hold on my account and cannot add courses
  • Received a message about an abandoned class session
  • I am a K-12 student and still cannot register for course after submitting my K-12 form
  • I submitted a petition but haven’t received a response
  • I requested transcripts but the college has not received them as of yet


 I am experiencing the following:

  • Submitted my application and received a welcome email that classified me as non-resident
  • Submitted document for residency review and was denied. I need to speak with someone
  • Wanting to submit a residency questionnaire but I need help to check if my documents are correct

Graduation — Degree/Certification/Certificates

I am experiencing the following:

  • I need to submit a certification to my transfer college
  • Would like to have my AP scores considered toward degree requirements
  • I took courses at another college that I want to use for graduation
  • Counseling gave me credit for a course taken previously, how do I get that to admissions

IVC Faculty

I am experiencing the following:

  • Need assistance submitting an incomplete form for student(s)
  • Need to change a student’s grade
  • Unsure about adding or dropping a student from my class
  • Have a question about grade submission or positive attendance

Placement — Assessment (Matriculation)

I am experiencing the following:

  • Need to clear a prerequisite or receive credit for a course taken at another college
  • Would like a different Math, English, ESL, or foreign language placement
  • Have high school transcripts to submit for placement consideration
  • Would like to have my AP scores considered toward placement
  • Unsure what my next step is in becoming an IVC student

Tips for successful virtual service

  • Please make sure you have the latest version of Chrome or Firefox before your virtual service session begins
  • Please do not engage in videoconferencing while you are driving or participating in other activities.
  • Make sure there is little to no background noise
  • Have a headset with microphone ready (your cell phone headset will work great!)
  • Avoid interruptions – Do not answer phone calls, text or surf the web during the appointment
